I don't think the difference in popularity or draw is that much of a significant difference between the two. Mfers should just agree to a 50/50 split.
I like both fighters. I'd be rooting slightly more for Ortiz but wouldn't be mad if Ennis wins. It's a fight that needs to happen.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz's team wants to bypass the Ennis fight so he can go get a title, then have a bigger say in the negotiations.
It's kinda wild to see a fight of this magnitude NOT being for a title.Comment

Lmao. As usual you are soiling your once pristine reputation by going out on your shield arguing with everyone on the thread about how Bootsy is elite even though he’s 28 and never fought a world class opponent in his life lol——-
“Tag you in every thread”? Nah! Just when your boy Ortiz DUCKS Boots. That’s all.
Ortiz has been ducking Boots for 4 years straight.
First he ran from 147 because he knew what time it was.
Then he fights Thomas Dulorme.
Then he says he wants to fight Spence.
And now he wants a 60/40 split.
Next he’ll demand the ref to be his dad during the fight and that the fight be held in his backyard and the judges be his cousins.Comment

Boots fans are so up their own a s s that they can't even admit that a PPV with Ortiz at 55/45 will make him far more than another 70/30 fight with a no hoper. They talk about Boot's hometown fanbase and his purses in the past.
In a PPV fight Boots bring some hardcores to the buys. Ortiz will bring hundreds of thousands of Mexican fans. Mexicans love big fights and they will cheer Ortiz on even though many aren't personal fans of Virgil.
Boots defiitely could win. If he doesn't force Hearns hand here and speak up about it, its a really ****** move. But coming from a guy who has never fought a great fighter at age 30 and basically just does whatever his promoter tells him, we know what to expect. I don't know if the dude is dumb or what. He turned down Bud then called Bud out when Bud had a fight scheduled. He seems to be the most complacent prize fighter in history. Skill wise and hype wise and according to some he should be knocking the best of the best out and barely breaking a sweat. But everytime he gets a shot he isn't ready.
Go make the damn fight Boots. Ortiz wants it. Publically call for it. Jesus.

Meanwhile, Ortiz is 30 years old and has NEVER fought for a title in TWO weight classes. This is despite being a pro since he was 19 years old.

Stanionis was undefeated and actually held a real belt at 147. Bohachuk lost twice to 74 year old Brandon Adams, and got knocked cold the first time. Vergil has a better overall resume than Boots, but please stop pretending that he's fought The Three Kings. Vergil is 28 and has never once tried to fight for a real title across two divisions. At least Boots has fought for and held real belts.Comment
