That makes sense and is actually a fair offer because Ortiz is the bigger draw.
Boots is in a position where he needs to bet on himself and take less money now in order to be able to demand more later once he wins. Like Devin Haney against Kambosos. He should jump on those terms and agree to them and call Oscar’s bluff.
Eddie Hearn should have no problem with this as he did it to Haney.👍 2Comment

We’re assuming that 5% comes from Vergils purse is Bootsy wins and boostys purse if Vergil wins. Essentially they would both be betting 5% of their own purses against each other in themselves. Which if you think you are going to win is a great deal. Especially when u have a record like Bootsys. That’s the only was the math works

"De La Hoya, by the way, added that there was a manager he was working with who was going behind his back to do deals, and that he would start sending legal letters, and that he was looking to keep big fights in the USA."
Wonder Who hes talking about👍 1Comment

This is just Oscar the crossdressers attempt to get out of this fight. He knows his fighter will get KTFO. He rather Vergil fight on low viewership Goldenboy DAZN cards until he fades. Vergil pricing himself out of a fight with a former unified champion.👍 1👎 1Comment

Boots puts more butts in seats, and is a former unified champion. Vergil likely only draws mexicans who illegally stream his fights

Boots is a former unified champion, why does he need to bet on himself when he's already proven he belongs at the world level? Oscar should bet on his flagship fighter and not ask for ridiculous splits😂 1👍 1Comment

I know that - but this fight isn't doing huge ppv. Hearn is smart enough to calculate what it can do on ppv numbers and translate that to dollars and proceed from there. Ask for a higher $figure and let it go from there. This % stuff is all about trying to project that your fighter has more value - in other words if the promoter or fighter say it then it must be true - its tedious.Comment
