meldonium
'After a single dose, it can be detectable in urine for up to 49 days.'
lol
on paper seems a bit of a poor choice for a ped but all may not be as it seems i guess
if that bit of info is correct that is
maybe there was masking involved that didnt quite work
or maybe he thought he would be fine as he took it out of testing windowComment

Fans also make a big deal out of it. How many times do people comment where is the b sample etc heard it lots of times in the Whyte case in comments. When it literally does not matter as much as people make out. It is the same piss/blood samples split up in 2. There is a very very small percentage it can be different and that is if after the split it has been contaminated in the lab, that is the only reason for it to checked really so that there is no chance of it being lab contamination
But it doesn’t stop these guys from making a big production about asking for the B sample to be tested, so that they can say they are “demonstrating respect for the process and full commitment to transparency and cooperation at every step.” Like Jaime Munguia’s team did.Comment

She also said this: "However, there have been occasions when boxers were cleared upon proving contamination or a broken chain of custody in collecting the drug testing samples."
I remember Manuel Charr getting away with a failed test because of that "broken chain of custody" loophole. He asked for his B sample to be tested after getting popped before his WBA regular title defense against Fres Oquendo. VADA and the WBA assumed that, because the test needed to done asap to save the fight date, Charr had waived his right to have a representative present while the sample was opened and tested. The B sample tested positive, the fight was cancelled, then Charr successfully appealed suspension on the grounds that he hadn't actually consented to have the sample tested without his representative being present, and the fight was re-scheduled.Comment

Yeah, it was widely reported that Whyte had asked for an immediate hearing without bothering to have his B sample tested before the Oscar Rivas fight, because time was short. But even today, you will still see fools asking, "What happened to Dillian Whyte's B sample, Eddie?" in the comments under articles and videos about Hearn.

I've started seeing and hearing similar questions asked about Joe Parker's B sample, in a way which implies that Parker's team are trying to cover something up.
The B sample is only tested if the fighter requests it, and there is no point bothering with it until all other options are exhausted, because the chances of it testing different than the A sample are, to all intents and purposes, ZERO.Last edited by kafkod; 01-05-2026, 09:36 AM.Comment

It's sad that worked. Reps weren't there when the first sample was tested. Cheaters suck.
