Only a fool makes bold statements about things they don't even know.
Conflicting information. The federal road safety statement claimed excessive speed and attempted overtake, driver losing control and hit a truck.
Then there is this statement from a police officer apparently that it was a burst tyre.

Looking at the state of the car and bodies decapitated almost certain excessive speed was involved. It was a SUV for it to crumple like that all the way into the front passengers section, I think it has to be excessive speed, or it could be excessive speed + the burst tyre.

From what I'm reading from people there who have driven on it that there was a newly layed road and there were no potholes

You know nothing about what actually happened yet you're happy to commit to what is, by literal definition, an uninformed opinion.

Put that in the context of two dead and it makes you a pretty bad person.

Then add the stu.pidity that comes with insisting that a car crash isn't an 'accident' because you don't understand the meaning of words. No-one even mentioned 'misfortune', which is a different word with a different definition.

How does someone read about a tragic car crash that has killed two people and decide that they'll post the rubbish you have today? It takes a rare combination of stu.pidity and bad character.

145mph would be overkill for the crowded 3rd world with its ratchet roads

145mph is for the roads in Europe

looks like both of the deaths were the two guys on one side of the car, front and back, the side which hit the truck

very lucky escape for AJ it seems indeed

Now, even moreso, i think his heart will not be in to fighting Fury or anyone anymore.

His best buds, trainer and strength coach wont be there and we've all seen how fragile he is after a loss.

Hopefully he retires and does some real good with his money and profile.

Hearts and prayers to everyone who's lost a loved one this year. They leave holes that nothing can fill.

Stay safe peoples. Take care, make good decisions...Ia manuia ma soifua.

My 'misfortune' comment was in response to Smash. OP was referring to the crash as an 'accident' and I was correctly saying that it's rare motor crashes/collisions are defined that way.

It goes without saying this is a horrible incident but I don't know the two dead. Would you prefer insincere tragedy posturing from me instead? People die all the time in motoring related incidents.

I don't care if you post insincere tragedy messages. But if you've got no information, no reasonable opinion, and all you can offer is a claim that it's rare that crashes are defined as accidents... when most sane people understand that practically every car crash is defined as an accident (ie the opposite of intentional)...

                  ...then maybe say nothing?

I'll just go back to my original statement. Your comments were uninformed, lacking in humanity, and stu.pid. And I don't even think that I need to qualify that as an opinion when the facts are so clear.

You just seem determined to turn this into a moral crusade. If you really want to get technical about this, one is responsible for the predictable consequences of one's actions. So if you wipe out a bunch of school kids on a zebra crossing because you were playing Candy Crush at 50mph in your SUV, you might not have intended that specific outcome but it was predictable and you will be treated accordingly by a judge. It's not an accident any more than performing a dangerous overtaking move above the speed limit is.

If I wanted to be really unkind to you personally I could ask whether you were glad to hear that AJ wasn't among the dead and your reason for feeling that way. But I prefer to write in the abstract so won't do that.

I'm glad to hear that AJ survived. I'm saddened that two others didn't. Why? I'm a normal decent person. Why else would I feel those very basic things?

The crash was an accident unless someone can prove a sinister motive and act. Culpability for the accident will be a completely different matter and, yes, the matter if whether the driver was reckless will be a topic. For others, on a different day.
