"A diminished foe"? Where have we heard something similar? I know. Over ten years ago after Floyd schooled Canelo, we heard from the naysayers that Floyd beat a "green" foe. Crawford may not be an ATG but give him his props for moving up two weight classes and beating a cherry-picking ATG!

A "faded" Canelo you say? Perhaps you also say Floyd beat a "green" Canelo? It wasn't exactly an "emphatic win"? Perhaps Floyd's win over Canelo wasn't an "emphatic win" either?

A great boxer, Crawford, in fact an all-time great. There is a but, he never fought a young star who looks somewhat special in Ennis.

Not saying he wouldn't beat Ennis. In fact, I think Crawford may have the edge in ring IQ, definitely in defence. He probably would've beaten Ennis, but still, would've been nice to see the fight.

Boots would've been more competitive than Canelo and Spence were against Bud, I think.

Anyway, great career, many millions of dollars, of course Saudi money, and he's now off enjoying life.

Fact is, Canelo was the cash name. But talent wise he hasnt done anything in the last 5 years. A faded version of what he used to be. On game day, surprisingly Bud was also bigger and longer than Canelo. Time to wake up to reality.
Are we going to be honest that Canelo was never really "elite" skill wise and his resume was inflated?

            Some great comments,

Taking into consideration Bud moving up I still have Inoue & Bam ahead of Bud simply due to activity & the level they beat.
Canelo has been on the entitled to cherry train since Bivol.

I also have a shout out for Wardley , if your using the term "fighter" all he does is fight against the odds & to a belt.

King Bud still on the top!

Crawford never received the recognition he deserved in this sport.

                  Enjoy your retirement champ!

It's been 2 months and the tears are still flowing. Bud even took time to thank you when interviewed by Max Kellerman in the ring right after he was announced as the winner.

Now he walked away as an ATG. No more he should move up to 175 or face whomever so some can vicariously live through others and get back at Crawford for winning. No get back, no lick back, no nothing, the mic has been dropped and the king has left the building and is just smiling thinking about you guys just like I'm doing now.

Inoue was never considered an underdog in his 32 fights. No big names on his record. The lower weight division are not packed.

Inoue's activity in 2025 still impressive. But quality is always better than quantity
