I am pretty certain AJ messed up and didn't mean to break Jake's jaw.

The entire fight was choreography. I watched it twice. AJ pulled punches, threw wide and missed on purpose for 99% of of the fight. He was not trying to hurt Jake whatsoever. It was not that Jake was good or that AJ ******.

The baseline for the choreography was this. Paul offered AJ the fight because it was bizarre and it made for incredible shock value. The pay was massive and so Paul and AJ discussed and the goal was to make it look as good as they good while no one got that hurt. This is the only explanation and if you look at Paul's conditioning it is clear that he was in no shape for any fight, much less against Joshua. Paul was tired after the the first round. AJ was missing on purpose and pulling punches. Had he seriously wanted to hurt Jake, he could have landed two punches and stopped the fight.

I believe AJ thought Jake was going to duck with the fight ending punch, and he didn't mean to throw it as hard as he did, or it just landed in the perfect spot to snap the bone. Jake looked not hurt but surprised. I truly think a fight ending shot was the plan all along, but it landed a bit too clean. If AJ had been throwing to KO him, Jake would have been unconscious.

The fight was not totally real, that much is absolutely easy to see in the rewatch. It got Jake more press and made world news and it got a near retirement AJ a hundred million. It was not two guys there to win. It was a put on. 100%.

Who cares either way? Just let it go, let's focus on real boxing.

You can't script a sanctioned fight.

I think what you saw from Joshua was a natural reaction to what was in front of him. Paul isn't a boxer, was clearly scared, and offered zero threat.

No decent person could go and try to kill a guy like that. So he threw short shots and did enough to debilitate him.

I genuinely think it's wild that people that think like you exist.

And so many others do also.

AJ broke Paul's jaw in two places. That doesn't happen accidently.

Social media has created a generation of conspiracy thinking imbeciles. Men (and it is mostly men) who haven't read a book since school but think they've got the jump on us 'sheep' by thinking this way.

As meaningless of a fight that it was, it wasn't scripted or rigged in anyway. Everything made sense if you know everything surrounding it.
AJ off for 14 months. Needed to shake off the ring rust.
The large ring was agreed which helped give JP the extra room for mobility which he knew he needed (this doesn't mean it was scripted)
JP had to gain extra weight in a short period which did not help his cardio, thus he gassed. As SOON as he gassed, AJ started to catch up to him and the bombs were landing to the point JP was nonstop falling to the ground.
JP's jaw broke in two places... I'm pretty sure having a permanent life altering injury was not part of a "script" in anyway that you can dream up of one.

So at the end of the day and you wild conspiracy theorists who are just looking to be outside the norm, what are you trying to accomplish with this? AJ still accomplished what people expected out of him which was KO JP. JP still lost by KO as everyone thought he would. Are you mad that he wasn't KO'd worse? Mad that he wasn't KO'd sooner? If you ignore everything I mentioned, then you can continue to still be mad that he wasn't KO'd sooner, but there are realities and facts.

You can also add, but this isn't confirmed that perhaps AJ wasn't looking to go entirely nuts early since he knew it was only going to be a matter of time. He saw the situation in that JP was going to keep running and staying away as much as possible and he took his time. It was a way of helping shake off some of the rust and once JP slowed down he got him. He did say after during interviews that he perhaps could have done a better job cutting off the ring, but he did what he was supposed to at the end of the day. I agree. So if it came out of his mouth, why not just let it go?
