No matter what anyone says, this includes "experts" -
Bud has maybe 3 impressive W's
    Not an ATG.

Terence Crawford dominates Viktor Postol, becomes junior welterweight unified titlist

After the fight, talk quickly turned to the possible showdown with Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs), the Filipino great and boxing's only eight-division titleholder."If Bob Arum wants that fight and my coaches want that fight, that's something we'll talk about later," Crawford said. "I let my coaches handle that. I am a fighter and I will fight anybody. I'm happy and I'm about to go on vacation. We not worried about Manny Pacquiao right now."

But Crawford made one thing clear -- if the fight happens, he will insist that Pacquiao, who has been fighting as a welterweight for years, come down in weight to challenge him for his title belts at junior welterweight.

"It will be at 140," Crawford said.

Undefeated Terence Crawford used his power and speed to defeat Viktor Postol by unanimous decision on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Arena.

Bob Arum admits he killed Pacquiao-Crawford fight, didn’t want to see Manny take damage
Arum fields questions about his perspective on Pacquiao’s ongoing career.

On if he would have any reservations of making a fight between Pacquiao and Terence Crawford:

“Well I killed the fight. Yeah. [I wouldn’t want that for Manny] because I know how it would end...Not that I knew that it would end in serious disability for Manny — that I wouldn’t know — but as a fight it would only end one way.

“Forget my emotions, I wouldn’t wanna see him take that kind of damage because it might affect his future life — quality of his future life.”

Crawford's career would've been much more legendary had he beaten Pacquiao, and then went to PBC when Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, and Errol Spence Jr. were all in their primes!
Re Arum's comments, bear in mind Pacquiao was 38yo when Crawford moved up to Welterweight. However, I think Arum was WRONG here as Pacquiao handed the much more dangerous Thurman his first loss at 40yo and arguably beat Barrios aged 46. I also would've given him a good shot at beating Spence had the latter not pulled out with an injury.

Arum is also on record as saying that he never made money on Crawford's fights which is probably the REAL reason why he pulled the fight (in addition to severely underestimating what old Pacquiao was capable of).

Terence Crawford appears to already have one foot out of the Top Rank Boxing ring. The three-division champion is contractually free to pursue future fights with any outfit he chooses now that his contract with Bob Arum’s company has expired.

The time for Pacquiao vs. Crawford would’ve been 2017, when instead of Crawford, Arum put Manny in with Jeff Horn! Crawford would’ve been the better opponent and it would’ve made more money in the U.S.!!! It would’ve LAUNCHED Crawford’s career to the stratosphere!

Actually Horn was Pacquiao's MANDATORY for his WBO Welterweight title and robbed him on home soil despite Pacquiao outlanding him 182-92 overall and in 11 of 12 rounds according to CompuBox!

His Top Rank stint was disappointing to say the least.

Not really challenging aside from pac and even then he more than likely would win at that age.

Do you give any of those guys a chance to actually beat Crawford?

i remember watching the ricky burns fight and bud was tabbed by the commentators as a future p4p no1, they made a point of that & they were right, as he moved up in weight his stoppages grew & not the other way around as is often the case
