I know this sounds weird, but watching Mercado feels like I'm watching a Klitschko: his thumping power, his rhythmic bounce, some of his defensive gestures/movements, a lack of infighting, focus on the jab, etc. Mercado's style seems a bit influenced by the Kronk style....and it suits his physical frame.
