It’s true, but boxing is the only sport where that’s the case. If the IBHOF was like other’s sport’s HOF, meaning how strict it is, boxers would have show a proven track record against elite fighters. And in that case many IBHOF inductees would be considered to be in the Hall of Very Good.

Golovkin has to get in due to who’s already in. He looks like a superstar compared to some of the HOF boxers. His track record vs elite fighters is almost non existent. He also had no issues going up to 168 for Chavez, but not for Andre Ward. He wanted to bring down Ward to 165lbs basically so that Ward can say no and give GGG an off-ramp.

I’m not denying he belongs in the IBHOF, i’m saying if the IBHOF took itself as serious as other sport’s HOF, he and several other boxers wouldn’t be in.

But in the version of the HOF that exists in boxing, he absolutely belongs there, no questions asked. His resume makes him look like Sugar Ray Robinson in comparison to some HOF inductees. He’s 1st ballot in this intentionally watered down HOF. I mean there HOF event every single year. It’s not some highly prestigious honor that happens every 3-4 years.

One must ask themselves, what is the inductee FAMOUS for

            Maybe FanMan should be in

All kidding aside, Fame AKA Greatness, is what it's implied.

PED cheats should automatically be excluded from HOF.

It's pretty hard to read some of this biased BS by GGG haters asking what he did to make the HOF. Ignoramuses who can't appreciate that he fought his entire prime being ducked by the big money makers and their promoters, until finally after going undefeated and KO'ing nearly everyone put in front of him Canelo finally challenged him after he had turned 35 years old, and then worked his ass off in the ring to AVOID fighting GGG, actually losing the fight and being gifted a draw. Then Canelo resorted to "eating Mexican meat" and failing a drug test thereby delaying the rematch which was a toss-up at best, and being gifted GGG's title and was instantly elevated to being recognized as the "P4P" fighter and getting obscenely large purses for whoever he fought from that point on. Why wasn't GGG given this type of recognition over the previous decade while Canelo and the rest of the prima donas ignored and avoided him??? GGG deserved a lot better, and he deserves a lot better now, that to be belittled and disrespected by a bunch of armchair idiots who lack the judgement to appreciate greatness when it's flattening people right in front of them, and then, at age 35, chases their hero all over the ring and is denied that well-earned victory. Then they proceed to lick "Nelo's" boots like he's a deity or something. Some of you people are in "Oz."

The fact that Stevie Collins beat Eubank and Benn twice each and suffered his three losses to excellent opponents early in his career is really insane.

GGG is a slam dunk. Benn and Tarver are extreme reaches. Collins beat Benn and Eubank twice apiece and lost three times to excellent fighters early in his career. Collins not getting in is wild. Make it make sense.
