Comments Thread For: The 10 most avoided fighters of the last 20 years

Even some of the most talented boxers can't always get the big fights they're seeking. Lucas Ketelle ranks the 10 most avoided boxers of the past 20 years.

Absolutely laughable to have Golovkin as #1. He turned down marquee fights with Ward, Lara (at two different points, in his prime Lara called him out, in his post prime Lara again was there for unification, GGG instead chose a useless rubber match with Canelo. GGG also avoided Andrade, and he wasn't as ducked as people think. Dmitry pirog SIGNED TO FIGHT HIM before injuring his back permanently. Pirog would have stopped the hype train. Felix sturm and Miguel cotto ducked GGG. Canelo aged him out. Thats it. GUILLERMO RIGONDEAUX LITERALLY GOT BLACKLISTED AND HAD AN ENTIRE WEIGHT CLASS SCARED. TERENCE CRAWFORD HAD AN ENTIRE PROMOTIONAL COMPANY AFRAID TO MATCH ANY OF THEIR FIGHTERS WITH HIM. Cmon now.

No one was avoiding Andrade, he was the one doing the avoiding trying to cashout with no risks and I am glad it backfired.

So basically you're saying if somebody offered you $1.5m or $43m you'd sign up to take $1.5m?

Money is irrelevant. The subject of this post is most avoided fighter. Your NOT THE MOST avoided fighter if your turning down MORE DANGEROUS fights for money. Try again Canelo fanboy.

Stopped reading with Andrade. He ducked everybody with a pulse his entire career and called out names he knew were already committed to other fights because there's no risk involved when you know they won't say yes.

The only time in his entire career he stopped into the ring with another legitimate world titlist (and no, WBA secondary or tertiary belts don't count) he quit on his stool.
