Groves is a far better fighter than both and he was on the downslide by the time he fought Eubank
Its definetely the weight cut i guess the last time he was Lucky but more often than not he will have a bad night doing that
You could see the veins on the side of his temple he looked like he just got released from a viatnamese war campComment

I think Eubank needed it. He's very likely inherited his father's propensity for overspending (as a compensation for insecurity). If he didn't want to fight he wouldn't have signed, like with GGG.When Shalom was trying to renegotiate the rehydration clause he said they'd had to sign up to it or the fight wouldn't have happened.
Makes me wonder why they really needed the fight to happen if it was going to be on those terms. Did Eubank desperately want it or was it the people around him who needed to get paid.
Well done Connor, but that was a shell of a man in there.Comment

I stated in the aftermath of the first fight? That it would be a wise move for Chris Eubank Junior, to move up into the 168 pound division.
I think quite simply, last night's performance was all down to the negative effects of the rehydration clause 'and being dead at the weight of 160 pounds, catching up with Eubank Junior'.
Note: My guess is that boxers in general, are still decades behind other athletes in certain sports such as Track and Field Athletics 'in just having innate knowledge, and wisdom on how to gauge their conditioning and actually understand the basic fundamentals of physiology. I am convince of this, because? Chris Eubank Junior has looked like a complete mess all week, completely drained during all the interviews and press conferences for the build up to the event'.
I was honestly not overly surprised by this result 'as Conor Benn appeared like a formula car, with the handbrakes on ready to go all week. He looked very vibrant, and energetic. Benn was clearly the more optimal conditioned for this rematch, and that is what won him the fight'.
Chris Eubank Junior once again, has in my opinion 'let material gains be his main motivation and he has suffered a consequence because of that. He could have so easily moved on from the Conor Benn saga, and moved up into the 168 pound divisions, where he would be less weight drained and more optimal conditioned'
Look at the state of Eubank Junior in the ring, he appeared to be expending a extreme effort just to stand up under his own weight 'I completely disagree with the Eddie Hearn and match-room narrative that Eubank Junior was playing everyone? And that he was really solid at the weight'.
The only pundits and former fighters, that have called this fight straight up during the build up were 'The Smith brothers. For a long time Paul Smith Junior has commented, and suggested that Chris Eubank Junior was dead at the weight of 160 pounds'.
For some time now? Chris Eubank Junior at 160 pounds, has either been hit or miss 'last night, it was another miss. And he must understand, that if he is to fight on in the game. Then he has to move up into the 168 pound divisions'.
No top Soccer players, Basketball Players, Tennis Players, Track and Field athletes, Rugby Players 'weight drain themselves before they compete. They don't incorporate those training methodologies, because? In those sports, the athletes have a certain level of wisdom and knowledge. They know better, and understand that such training practices are eventually going to severely negatively impact their overall conditioning and performance'.
It is common sense really, maybe some boxers are not there yet 'the backwards attitudes and practices start in the amateur ranks. And I personally think it is very big cultural issue that boxing has as a sport'.
To conclude: Overall congratulations to Conor Benn, he has got his win over Chris Eubank Junior II. But now he himself? Potentially is most likely going backwards in terms of his conditioning and game. Benn is going to struggle moving back down into the welterweight division, and maintaining this current form he displayed against Chris Eubank Junior II'.
Far too many boxers are losing themselves, and destroying their resumes for material gain 'this is another aspect of this rematch. The rematch should not have been scheduled at 160 pounds; if Eubank Junior won the first fight then the rematch should have been contested at 168 pounds'.
If Chris Eubank Junior won his rematch vs Conor Benn II 'that may have only delayed this level of loss against another 160 pound fighter. He lost the fight in training camp, any honest observers of the sport, who actually understand physiology. Know this to be true' etc.

The weight drain is just make believe. He was at his weight against a much smaller guy

The issue was the jab and distance.
Jr just sucks. He can't jab and can't control distance. His feet are too slow.
The first fight Benn just wanted a tear up. HE closed the gap and was happy to go to war. This time he was careful and used to his speed and jab to completely befuddle Jr.
We can speculate weight as an excuse but it's just that, speculation.
Truth is Eubank has never dealt with a jab and Benns speed was far too much. That's the real truth.Comment

You're blind seriously

Eubanks never been amazing and has fell flat at world level against lesser opposition than Benn but last night he could barely stand and only showed 1 or 2 glimpses of his old self
The weight cut was 100 percent the issue and the body can only take so much..he got away with it last time but i imagine that fight took a lot away from himComment

That's just what happens when you face someone faster with a better jab.

Watch the Groves back fight. It's identical. Weight can't be blamed there.
Groves was better is such a weak reason, dude was shot at that point. All he did was jab and Eubank fell apart.
Jr hasn't changed. He sucks and always has.Comment

Youre dumb, if that Eubank was there last night he would have destroyed Benn

Laat night he was a plodding punch bag in the groves fight he had fast feet and threw with bad intentions
..dont reply with this horse again youre an idiotComment

Lol, there it is. You just refuse to believe that Jr is a bum. You're one of those weird Eubank hero worshippers. I knew that was the case.
Your hero is a bum mate. ALWAYS has been. Shot Groves destroyed him and so did a British level welterweight Benn.
