When Shalom was trying to renegotiate the rehydration clause he said they'd had to sign up to it or the fight wouldn't have happened.

Makes me wonder why they really needed the fight to happen if it was going to be on those terms. Did Eubank desperately want it or was it the people around him who needed to get paid.

I think Eubank needed it. He's very likely inherited his father's propensity for overspending (as a compensation for insecurity). If he didn't want to fight he wouldn't have signed, like with GGG.
