Absolutely correct. That's exactly what they were hoping for.

But I'd still expect more from Eubank. He wasn't there from the first bell. You sign the contract, you fight. If you can't fight under those terms, then don't sign the contract.

Maybe he needed more protection from manager and promoter. They would have been desperate for the fight - Eubank probably didn't need it quite so much. Especially not on those terms.

That's insane to me. The buck stops with him because ultimately he has to sigh it in the end but he or his team have showed no negotiation skills here.

Surely you leave some of the rematch terms until after the fight I.e weight, rehydration. Then win the first fight and get the rematch on your own terms because you have leverage after winning.

Ah well, irrelevant now. He's completely finished anyway and wasn't that great to begin with.

Still doesn't really tell us where Benn is either. He was in there with a corpse. Put it this way, Liam Smith from the first Eubank fight would've done that Eubank last night in 3 rounds again.

I think Benn will be competitive with B and C level fighters and luckily for him the 147 title sign is mostly that right now.
