That's insane to me. The buck stops with him because ultimately he has to sigh it in the end but he or his team have showed no negotiation skills here.
Surely you leave some of the rematch terms until after the fight I.e weight, rehydration. Then win the first fight and get the rematch on your own terms because you have leverage after winning.
