Sadly it, it will sell
And even sadder, it will be a scripted draw
No way would Team JP allow AJ to actually fight
Ala Mike Tyson
MFers who pay for these shltshows are addicted to bullshlt
Edit -
TBF, JP has a bunch of idiot followers on YT

I think it ends his career. And if you end it now there's a slightly different slant on it - a guy who was decent until 5 years ago and never did anything else afterwards.
Joshua can still get fights made. Despite everything he's still big money and reputation. Pretty much everyone in the division would line up to have talks with him.
Doesn't sit well with me. There's a big difference between Mayweather milking exhibitions. He was undefeated with not much left to prove. Joshua has always talked about the sporting element to boxing and his actions tended to follow that. This is an about turn - the kind that you only make when you've effectively quit.Comment

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Finally, if this is accurate, JP and the genius MVP decision makers are digging out of the embarrassing Tank fight which was a complete joke.
AJ, as I’ve said here for the past 2 years, AJ is and has been a shot fighter who JP can KO with a stiff jab. Besides, AJ lost his confidence long ago. Even a creditable loss to AJ will be a great move for JP. How the geniuses at MVP couldn’t figure out before and instead sought to fight a midget was ridiculous. Let’s hope the MVP geniuses don’t go back to the lightweight division again if this fight happens.
Now this makes common sense.Comment

Okay, let's unpack this. First off, let me be clear I do not want this 'fight' (would it even be a full fight?) to happen. I have a strong filter for internet grifters and I am quite proud of the fact I've only heard JP speak once and never seen him fight.

From AJ's point of view, maybe a year away from the ring following a hurtful defeat at the late stage of his career has given him a new perspective. Getting punched in the face in pursuit of 'undisputed' might no longer seem important, especially given the unlikelihood of him achieving it. He seems like quite a philosophical person and with money in the bank and his life ahead of him, maybe he doesn't want to risk getting knocked out again.
The demographic who will pay for this farce are unlikely to think about such abstract concepts as boxing legacy, they just see the names and tune in (I'm over simplifying but hopefully you take my point). As for us fans who do consider such things, I think it's clear where AJ is: well below Lennox Lewis and somewhere above Bruno and Haye (at heavyweight). He was never the true heavyweight champion but was involved in a true classic (against Wlad) and became a household name.
Knocking out JP for money won't negatively impact this.Comment
