Where are the fees being paid to commissions going? Why aren’t 20-30% of those fees going into an escrow account to help former boxers, even if it’s only limited to people who’ve reached top 20 rank in their career for that commission? This is where the issue for me is. WBC needs to be audited top to bottom. You have money to give away Aztec, warrior, toilet emperor special titles but does barely anything for the old timers.

Three different women say George abused them when they were between ages 13 and 16:
In August, two other women filed lawsuits saying George Foreman committed sexual battery when they were between the ages of 13 and 16.
He settled a previous accusation from a different woman out of court way back in the 70s and in the early 80s Sports Illustrated ran an article saying he beat at least one of his five wives.
So that's at least five different sources accusing him of abuse of women in three different decades.Comment

You know accusations aren’t proof that he’s guilty of it, right?

Let me guess , no right ?
George Foreman was the subject of
civil lawsuits in which women accused him of sexual abuse, but there is no indication he was ever charged with or convicted of a crime related to these allegations, which he adamantly denied.Comment

Here he is in his own words:
After I'd lost to Ali, I'd decided I needed more hate. I'd hit you in the kidneys or on the back of the head. I'd beat women as hard as I beat men. [He paid a woman $30,000 in a settlement stemming from an assault and battery charge.] You psych yourself to become an animal to box, and that's what you become.
And if three different women who can prove they had extended contact with you but never met each other accuse you of abusing them when they were in the same age range in the same time period, I tend to believe that.Last edited by famicommander; 11-09-2025, 03:37 PM.Comment

You’re entitled to believe what you want to but you can’t say he is that, because we have no evidence of that being the truth.
It’s an accusation from you, just as is theirs.Comment

I only saw famicommander's post because you quoted him. But that article he cites says the below. If an accurate quote, doesn't look good:

A lion sleeps 75 percent of the day, the rest he eats and breeds—just like a boxer.👍 1Comment

I was referring to the sexual assault/pedophile accusations.

But in regards to his words here, could be true, could be fictional to play a character. We don’t know. I don’t recall any woman ever accused George Foreman of beating them.Comment
