Coppinger says Ryan Garcia vs Mario Barrios is on the way

Ryan Garcia has 1 win since the end of July 2022, and that was at 140 pounds against Oscar Duarte.

He also had a knockout loss to Tank Davis, a no contest due to a failed drug test, and a decision loss to Rolando Romero in both of their welterweight debuts.

So, of course, boxing has decided to reward him with a second consecutive 147 pound title shot.

He's 1-2-0-1 in his last 4 fights and has never won a fight at welterweight.

I hope the Norman-Haney winner sorts out the rest of this pathetic division quickly. Romero, Barrios, the ghost of Pacquiao, Crocker, Donovan, Garcia.... none of these guys belong anywhere near a welterweight title fight.

None of these guys, including Haney, are beating Norman.

Depends on which Haney shows up. If he fights like he did against Ramirez he's going to sleep for sure, but if he's over his timidity he might be able to outbox Norman. Haney has definitely faced much better competition to this point.
