Lara will not a cake walk and I thought Janibek had a hard time making weight. If you are a betting man. Lara might pull up the upset.👍 1Comment

Since Pacquiao vs Rolly isn't set as the WBA mandated Rolly to fight Giyasov, I wonder if Fundora vs Thurman will headline in January and have this fight on the undercard. That would be a good replacement for Foster vs Fulton.
This should be a good fight. It'll give us a much better read on Janibek as Lara (as old as he is) will be the first world class opponent he's fought. I'm leaning Janibek for the W, but I won't be surprised if Lara wins. Either way, two excellently skilled fighters going at it. I'm looking forward to it.Comment

Also, regarding Top Rank, I wonder what's going with them. It's been something like 4 months since their deal ended with ESPN. And I'm sure they knew that deal was expiring for a long time prior. Have they been without a broadcast deal for even a week in their entire existence prior to this?Comment

Lara is an all time great, but at his age, having lost some mobility, and against a tough, skilled and very hungry Janibek Alimkhanuly, i just don't see him pulling it off.

See quote from the article below.
Janibek needs to make a statement in this fight. Go and knock him out and then demand Adames. His career is passing him by and no one beyond the hardcore is aware of his talent. The fight will be staged as the co-main event to the December 6 140lbs interim WBC title fight between Mexico’s Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz and WBA junior lightweight champion Lamont Roach Jnr in San Antonio.👍 1Comment

Lara doesn't do well with fighters that pressure and are able to take his straight left hand, he is a one/two fighter. Janibek is not a pressure fighter and if he lets the aging Lara fight at a pace he will have issues.Comment
