Oh yea it's def gonna be a good fight. I want Lara to win but he is 42 years old so that's a hard ask. I just want someone to enlighten me on why Janibek is so highly rated. Where are all these great fights he's been in with world class fighters?

Janibek has KOed fighters with his timing which shows some skill level and with other fighters refusing to fight him he has this mystic at the moment. He is still unproven.

Glad this fight is happening as Janibek has been stagnating in the division, should have taken the Golovkin route and just fought regularly 3-4 times a year to keep his name out there which would put pressure on the likes of Adames to fight him

Janibek needs to make a statement in this fight. Go and knock him out and then demand Adames. His career is passing him by and no one beyond the hardcore is aware of his talent.

That's what I get for skimming an article. Adames needs a fight soon. No news on that, though. Be nice to have him fight Bud next and the winner takes on the winner of Alimkhanuly-Lara.

Adames was the fight they were trying to negotiate first. Looks like team Janibek got fed up and went with the guy who actually wants to fight. Props to Lara.

Fortunately, this older Lara of the past few years isn't moving like he used to (can't probably) and is setting his feet and trading now. So, this should be a really good fight.
