A better question to ask was Parker going to be done for if the fight continues?
In hindsight and overall I think it was premature. Parker has got off the floor to win, and Fabio can't even claim to have dropped parker. I don't think Fabio would've nailed Parker to canvas.

I don't think it should've been stopped, Wardley was throwing a lot but Parker's movement meant he avoided most of the punches. Wardley had punched himself out and probably wouldn't have had anything left for the rest of the fight. Having said all that, Parker only has himself to blame. He made no attempt to smother/spoil Wardley, didn't try to hold, didn't take a knee, didn't throw back. It didn't look good and he gave Howard Foster every excuse to stop the fight.

Parker was always one of the worst of the top heavyweights, but while the rest (AJ, Fury, Wilder, Whyte...) are all past their prime or completely shot in some cases, Parker had a solid run. This fight reminded me that Parker was never that good in the first place, but take nothing away from Wardley who proves that he's better than given credit for every time he steps up.

I think so too. Issue was Joseph was clearly hurt before hand going into his rope-a-dope

That's the best time to do it, and also when your opponent is gassed and going for broke late in the fight.

Parker's got one of the best chins in boxing & was obviously resting.

              He was not "stunned"

He was letting Wardley punch himself out, which he was close to doing, while ahead on the cards.

Fabio punches hard, so if he lands on you of course it will be hard to disguise that it hurt. If a punch hurts, you are well within your rights to let it be known, you are allowed to, but can make it more likely to lose the round.
But it was Fabio responsibility to knock Parker down firstly and hope he don't make the 10 count. Anything less than that could be deemed controversial

Are you blind and retarded? Or just one?

He wasn't stunned??? Are you for real? Did you miss the part where he wobbled around the ring like he'd had 30 pints of beer from an uppercut and was blatantly badly hurt?

                      Indeed!

I believe if Parker had of clinched, taken a knee, ran or done anything other, the ref still would have waived the fight off. He has form.

As is, Parker was lucid, slipping punches, had his guard up and even ineffectively hit out a couple of times.

If anyone deserved the benefit of the doubt to continue, it's The Mighty Oilskin!
