“Barely a clean shot landed” is asinine.

He was badly hurt at the end of the 10th and badly hurt at the start of the 11th. Wobbling and looking at the floor. If you fall back ontop he ropes and cover up in that scenario there’s every chance a ref will stop it.

That was NOT what Parker v Wardley was. It had its moments but by and large it was pure sweet science.

Both were looking to hit and not get hit with plans going out the window as soon as they got punched really hard in the face.

I don't like to see any fighter take excessive punishment and head shots. But of course, it's inevitable when two great fighters reach their flow state.

Not taking anything away from Wardley but had it been vice versa your mates would be all over this site doing exactly what your accusing me of
I don’t know if I could class anyone on here as my mate, I sure know my personal friends aren’t on here. But I’d like to think despite difference of opinion it’s should be the norm to be respectful to each other and carry ourselves as grown adults. I just think we got off to a terrible start.

I’m new here as in my account, I often have used this site as it’s always been the best to me compared to the others. I have enjoyed reading people’s comments also along with articles. Mainly the post fight threads. You have a right to feel how you feel. If I agree with you or not is just opinion. It’s never me trying to bash someone over the head with “I’m right , you wrong”. Have a great rest of your week.

Indeed, but this was Joseph Parker. A known quantity to rise off the canvas. He hadnt been dropped in the fight and the last few headshots were doing nothing.

Anyone else, maybe step in, but Parker ?... Fück no, let him go out on his shield. The ref wasnt saving him from brain damage or worse. He was gifting a disputed win to Wardley.

If people are so worried about brain damage and saving boxers future lives then they need to stop donkeys like Chisora, Whyte and Joyce from even getting in the ring anymore.

Very possible it was an inside job to help UK manufacture another profitable heavyweight asset. Parker is like a nomad, he is a fine exciting tough fighter like a Jimmy Thunder but he doesn't sell anywhere, he's a B side with no A side potential. He's a pawn. Wardley has the more lucrative long term future - co A side rivalries with Dubois, AJ, Fury, Itauma and maybe even Usyk. Parker goes back to being the B side he always was.

One guy who most think beat Parker and two guys who battered Parker

Parker was the B-side even in this fight as he ringwalked first and was fighting in enemy territory.

Yep, he can never be an A side, he doesn't sell anywhere. Cubans and New Zealanders and Nigerians can never be A sides.

No options but to stop the fight. There is no standing count in professional boxing.
