I wish we could have some more trasparency in boxing. Why is he not able to get a decent fight? Is he with Don King and that's the issue? It's an IBA fight so it may not even be recorded as a professional fight. He's a decent talent but he makes some head scratching career moves.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has conflicting contractual obligations but has somehow remained highly ranked with the WBA owing to his King affiliation. This (effectively) unlicenced fight in the UK (if it happens) probably allows him to not fall foul of his contract(s) but earn some much needed money.
A proper piece of investigative journalism could probably unravel most of this plus how it's intertwined with the WBA secondary belt which refuses to disappear (and probably uncover much corruption) but even outlets with resources such as BS seem not to want to go there. Leaving us with superficial discussions and uninteresting speculation about a Paulie Malignaggi comeback.
He's gone from getting fights with usyk at cruiserweight, bakole and povetkin to this. Seems like a waste of a career , probably down to other promoters not wanting to work with king
Saying he beat Joshua in sparring is pure cringe. The man has been invisible for about 6 year. Waste of space and this fight is a joke. Nash out - His Majesty

Hunter had agreed to fight Big Baby Miller but that was squashed when Don King submitted a cease and desist order for that fight on account that he still has promotional rights to Hunter.
I had always been a fan of Hunter (I was a fan of his father). He seemed on the proper trajectory fighting with Matchroom but they parted ways...he declined the Hrgovic fight (I think he wanted more compensation) and then signed with Triller to fight Mike Wilson and Jerry Forrest. Then he's fighting in Mexico and his career has just languished.
At a certain point, it becomes obvious that the fighter probably has a lot to blame for the unfortunate events of their career.
Why does anyone go with Don King these days? The man has not been relevant to any of the 4 major orgs and I think is more known currently for stopping fights then making them.
