Yes, that is very true. I don't like that bareknuckle fighting either. I have never been a fan of it. Perhaps, it is less traumatic on the brain and safer than boxing itself. However, like you said it's the damaged scar tissue that comes along with it that takes its toll. Paulie is going to have to undergo massive reconstruction surgery in order to repair it. It does appear that he isn't making anywhere near enough money as he did when he was an active fighter.
No, I know exactly that this is why he wants to face him, it's just the irony because of how much we had to listen on nearly every ProBox/BoxingScene broadcast with Paulie involved and talking about the Barrios/Pac fight that Barrios was trash.
I will say one thing despite how dumb this is, I would prefer Paulie try this than another BKB matchup. His face was turned to mince meat and it'll never be the same after all those cuts heal. They were massive and he looked horrendous. Not to mention he said he also had some broken ribs. It's just not worth it at his age. He might not win against a Barrios in boxing, but I don't think he would sustain nearly the same amount of damage.
Why not Paulie just keep to things that work at his age and not involve punishment? Is he not making enough with his outside gigs?Comment

Are you allergic to answering questions or are you just too dumb to be able to read the words?
Pauli is a "bad dude", right? You have to think that, he's a two weight world champion...And you said anyone who even qualifies for the Olympics is a "bad dude" and if you disagree you don't know boxing.....So by default he HAS to be a "bad dude" to you, correct?Comment

I find it surprising that Paulie with his fragile hands, tried BKF. I find it even more surprising that he said he learned how to better protect his hands in BKF than he did in boxing. Isn't protecting your wrists and hands one of the first things to learn in boxing?Comment

No doubt, Paulie should put his money where his mouth is. He talks so much trash about Mario that he'd look like a pussy if he didn't challenge him. Maybe Barrios would bring it like he did against Ugas and even Tank. I don't really have a problem with the Magic Man, but if he's going to talk the talk, he should walk the walk. The irony is how badly Paulie trashed Barrios on the leadup to the fight with Pacquiao. I don't think he went one discussion without calling Barrios the worst boxer on the planet or that he's ever seen. That he was garbage, trash, the worst. I mean I think even Chris and the other dude were getting sick of Paulie bashing Barrios. So it is one man's trash is another man's treasure? Paulie sees a potential victory against the worst guy on the planet?
What I would love to see if Barrios actually beat him and realize that at 46 year old Pacquiao at least had a draw against the worst boxer on the planet (according to Paulie). Just to make him realize how unspecial he is at this advanced age.Comment

Paulie is not only washed up, but he's beat tf up. Look at his face. He looks like you did after your ex boyfriend left you and you tried to go fight his new man

Paulie got stopped by Sam Eggington at the end of his career.
He belongs nowhere near a real boxing ring again.Comment
