When they fought, Hatton's resume was below Mayweather, but not that far if you look at names. Now it's worse because he has 2 loses.Comment

I disagree. This is like the Mosley & Hopkins stuff to me. These guys always say things 1st. After the fight Floyd was nice and even in articles he was nice. It was Hatton who started saying things 1st and then Floyd started ripping him again. I remember it clear as day because I was shocked that Hatton would make such comments after Floyd had been nice to him. Floyd was even talking about how he would call Hatton ever so often to cheer him up and talk about how they may have a rematch in England in the future. Hatton started talking smack 1st. After time passed he didnt want to face up to the loss and kept talking non stop about how he only lost because of Cortez and how Pac is a real fighter while Floyd runs and doesnt want to fight like Pac. He kept dissing Floyd to boost him & Pac up. Thats when Floyd went off. He still never even went on Hatton until Hatton started beefin with Sr. and thats when Floyd went off and took up for his dadComment

When at his best, Hatton would have been a lot to handle for Floyd and Manny. In his prime, he had a ton of durability, but his prime was short and he showed signs of losing his punch resistance even before the Floyd fight. Floyd would have outpointed him still, but it would have went the distance and the points difference not that spread apart.
With Manny, a prime Hatton could have turned into a nightmare for him. It would have been a hard fight for both guys with both taking a lot of damage. It is all just hindsight speculation though.
I will say that Hatton's style was not made for longevity. People just cannot seem to get their heads around the fact that he was just past his prime and on the decline when he fought Floyd and more of a full slide when he fought Manny.
He was and still is hugely underrated on these forums.Comment

hell no, Hatton might make it 2 more rounds at best in his prime. His style hasn't changed one bit and he would not have taken that left hand that put him down prime or not.
Stop downplaying Manny when really he's on the same level of Floyd if not better.Comment

i am sick to death of this bollocks that hatton if he was at his prime that he would of been able to handle floyd or pacman
first of all hatton was too big for pacman and was stubborn and naive enough to think he could walk right through him
2nd of all he turned down floyd before there fight when he said he was not ready for him, and had a few more fights!!
floyd was too techical for hatton and pacman is a style nightmare for him!!
hattons best win was a foul fested fight against kosta in manchester with a hugely biased ref!!! also kosta was very faded and was very inactive (he was pound 4 pound number 2 but he had been inactive and injury plagued)
hatton has always been cleverly matched and for me he was a b class fighter why did he never fight cotto, judah or mosley thats what i wanna knowComment
