Perhaps the Rod Salka mega fight was the high water mark of his career? I never really enjoyed watching Swift fight, especially at the heavier weights. Not enough aggression, not enough punches and as he moved up on weight...not enough power.
Danny is so boring and never did anything big after 140
His run at 140 was fantastic enough on its own. He beat Campbell, Holt, Morales, Khan, Morales, Zab, and Matthysse consecutively to become the unified, lineal champion. He wasn't a great welterweight but he still picked up a belt at 147 and beat some decent-if-faded names (Paulie, Ghost Guerrero, Rios, Peterson). He lost at the elite level at welterweight (Thurman, Porter, Spence) and should have retired there but Garcia is still walking away with a better resume than the overwhelming majority of guys who walk around calling themselves champions.

Sounds like a lotta guys who have passed on to the civilian life from boxing lately........................
I am a DSG fan especially during his prime, he should be retired its clear his heart has not been in this sport for a while. I'm rooting for Danny, but Gonzalez looks in great shape he looks powerful and compact.
