I had originally heard via bisping & bym pod saying through mutual friends it was a heart attack. But now ive read he hung himself, that's truly horrific, tragic.
My thoughts & prayers go out to his family and friends. Truly saddened by this.
I think he put to much pressure on himself with the comeback fight, and it overwhelmed him.
That may have been the tipping point but people's reasons for committing suicide are usually pretty complex. Hatton was obviously a very complex person beneath the surface. I can't help but wonder about his relationship with his father even before the big fallout and eventual reconciliation. He was drinking heavily from a young age which is usually a symptom of trauma.
Reading between the lines of what happened as a youngster when he briefly worked for his father's carpet business, I wonder if Ray was hypercritical which is why Hatton tended to feel like a failure despite all his success.
should have stayed retiried, or was the comeback a call for help maybe?

i dont think it was anything to do with the comeback, hes probs not in the news stateside but it wasnt a huge shock for any brit, its been pretty clear he has been struggling for a while
These idols of their craft, like Hatton or Chris Cornell or Chester Bennington, deciding to leave when they're adored by millions. There should be a rule like, "Hey buddy. Can't do that. You're somebody. Not allowed to take a hike yet."
