Lmao...where the hell do you come up with these nicknames?

As for Azim, open your eyes brother, this kid is the REAL DEAL. He's built like a bull, has lightning fast hands, power plus a very high ring IQ (he was a dominant amateur and ranked #1 in the world). As far as Black American boxer's are concerned, I'm sure he's defeated plenty in the amateurs so I don't see it being a major obstacle.

Mosqueda impressed the HELL out of me during the WBC Grand Prix this year. I'd never heard of him before the tournament but was extremely impressed with his athleticism, explosiveness and punch selection. He also has dynamite in his fists as his most recent opponent found out over the weekend. Whilst he's not QUITE as nice technically as the other boxer's listed in this thread e.g. Azim, Visioli, Itauma, Moton etc, he has all the attributes to become a dominant champion one day.

He is 21 years old and doesn't have that many fights, but he does have even further room for improvement. His matchmaking up to now has been pretty good for a prospect before the tournament.

He has debuted in 2022, but he had more used that time to work at the gym than keep busy.

Sorov is an emerging heavyweight boxer with some pop in his firsts. He can in fight and out fight. At the young age of 20 he has the best footwork and foot speed I have seen in the division for the past 25 years!

A very athletic guy, he has very good accuracy and hand speed. He can beat his man to the punch, OR use his footwork so the other guy can not set his feet, but he can! He move equally well going back and forth and can circle well to either side.

The young Russian amateur boxer in the super heavyweight division (over 92 kg). At just 20 years old (born around 2005), he's already generating significant buzz in the boxing community for his technical prowess and potential to become a future star.

              Physical Attributes and Style
              • Height: 6'2" (188 cm)
              • Estimated Reach: 78" (198 cm)
              • Estimated weight 220 Lbs.
              • Fighting Style: Often compared to Oleksandr Usyk for his size and scientific approach, but with a more fundamental, less flashy technique. He is a better athlete than Usyk I say. He's praised for:
                • Speedy footwork and fast hands.
                • Straight punches to the head and body with notable power.
                • Strong defensive fundamentals, including ducking and evasion.
                • Improving inside game, making him a "complete" heavyweight prospect.
              Career Highlights
              • Amateur Ranking: Currently rated #2 in the amateur super heavyweight division worldwide. With Bakhodir Jalolov (Olympic gold medalist) expected to transition to professional boxing, Surov is positioned to rise quickly.
              • Notable Fights:
                • June 21, 2025: Exhibition bout against Jackson Murray at KSK Arena. This matchup was hyped as a showcase for Surov's development, with forums calling him the "next all-time great heavyweight."
                • August 22, 2025: Beat Alexander Dorofeev in the Russian Championship (over 92 kg category).
                • June 21, 2024: Faced Olympic champion Bakhodir Jalolov in the semi-finals of an international event, highlighting his elite-level competition early on. The fight was a good one and Jarlov had a huge age and experience edge.
He is just a boy. In a few years he will become a man.
              Glad to hear that Z

I've just watched some highlights of Surov and can see why you're so high on this kid...he has good size, balance, punch selection and moves around the ring very well. He also seems like an intelligent fighter who doesn't rush his work or go in all guns blazing. However, I DON'T think he's quite as good a prospect as Itauma or that Uzbek giant (not Jalolov) but would definitely put him right behind them.

              Good find!

Yes...his potential is scary for a 21yo with his attributes i.e. power, balance, athleticism, & explosiveness. I follow a Sikh boxer he faced called Gully Powar and was scouting Mosqueda before the fight and realised he was an elite prospect. In fact, I was surprised how the commentator's were downplaying his chances because I could see right off the bat he was special. Anyway, although Powar gave him his toughest fight to date, Mosqueda still won a clear decision and ONLY then did the commentator's start hyping him up (talk about being late to the party ).

The way he broke down that lanky SA fighter over the weekend was impressive and I expect him to win the tournament.
