Y'all haters should go on Boxing Scene's youtube channel and listen to the whole interview before spouting off after reading some quotes in an article, but you won't. Probably didn't even read the whole article. Times like these I gotta agree with Breadman that boxing fans are the worst. Why the vitriol? Thurman has always been entertaining inside and outside the ring. If you can't appreciate his boxing and fights then you should probably find another sport to follow.

bizarrely the wbc have ortiz as an interim champ which i thought was only due if the 'real' champ could not fight & also now boots ennis is also an interim champ, this division takes little baby steps forward with all of them for some reason avoiding some russian guy on top of all the mess lol

I don't believe that the Russian guy has done enough to be on top of all the mess. He won exactly one big fight. He brings zero money and about the same amount of eyeballs. That's why he isn't getting a fight. Lubin turned him and his belt down to fight Ortiz for twice the money. Murtazalievs people are going to have to cough up some funds to get him a good fight. It's a shame that the belt alone won't do that for him. The 10lb rehydration clause doesn't help either. I'd think that most guys put on more than that after weighing in at 154. I just don't see him as being some scary monster for beating a Tszyu with PTSD and fighting in the ******est way possible. I need to see more of the Russian before I buy into the hype.
What's your email ? I'm going to get you an interim belt and email it to you. What weight class do you want ?

The guy has fought twice in the six years since he lost to an old Pacquiao. Can you please explain why he's getting a shot at the TBRB #1 in the sport's hottest division?

Thurman must understand that taking a position such as this one. Would just further go to undermine and discredit his own pulling out of fights due to injury.

Very strong, huge puncher but never really was taught boxing skills. Supposedly KOed Berto in sparring when he was still amateur and Berto was a name pro. Sparred Tarver and Winky. The rumor was he's even older than his given age, some kind of birth cert trick for amateur advantage. Quick rise as pro, was ready to beat Mayweather but Haymon protected Floyd from the KO loss and kept Keith apart. Keith never got the big fights when he was primetime. Berto got that Floyd shot as a hired patsy then ran off with the money. Keith would have KOed Floyd I have no doubt, no way Floyd could hold off Keith's brutal onslaughts. Keith then over-ripened on the vine and started to decline. Haymon wasted him and misused him as a pawn but he would have slayed Floyd like Mayorga slayed Forrest. Now Keith is just a patsy waiting for the last payday. And even getting scroowed out of that after all the scroowings Haymon gave him.

Easy money for Fondora and a creditable name to add to his tally. Thats it.

WBC has Thurman ranked #3. I think your questioning should be directed towards the WBC. Its thier Belt, Ranking system and champion.

i dont buy into the hype of the russian guy either id say he will lose fairly soon, but hes stuck with his belt fighting his mando it seems until some other belt holder agrees to a unification fight and the ibf i believe drop that weight clause for that, makes you wonder what people like ortiz actually do weigh fight night in the ring tho

Haymon owes Thurman a lot of favors for ruining his career.
