Why is all this pressure on a guy who just came to the division and not on guys that have been in the division for years? Y'all just making it clear that Boots is the best to do it. Only the best get held to high standards.
No more cans for Ennis please.

If Haney fights the way he fought against Ramirez he'll probably lose. He has to engage at some point, even if he picks his spots. Ramirez is years past being washed so Haney being that scared against him doesn't bode well.
If Haney fights at his very best he can win, but I don't know if he's all there mentally. Never should have taken that Garcia fight after the weight debacle.Comment

What are you talking about?
Ortiz took heat for ducking Murtazaliev, as he should.
Fundora took heat for ducking Crawford and Murtazaliev, as he should.Comment

Fans can be fickle and impatient. The sport lets us down continuously, and the boxers sometimes get the brunt of our frustration. I wanted a better debut opponent than Lima, but it served a greater purpose as an eliminator turned interim title shot. I'll only get frustrated if Ennis becomes inactive and starts waiting for other guys. It may not have been all his fault, but he seemed too quiet/passive at 147lb. When a fighter gets with a bigger promotional company, fans will start to expect more from them. I do agree that some fans are too biased or uninformed to distribute blame equally, but Ennis has a lot of hype behind him right now, and high expectation always follows. He and Hearn need to stop marketing the Ortiz fight and instead make sure they have a plan B signed (a fight with Baraou). I'm sure some will complain that Baraou isn't a big enough name, but there's no reason why Ennis should be out for 6+ months after last night's devastating performance. Some may not want to hear this, but I don't think the Ortiz fight is big enough for Ennis to sit down and wait. Ortiz hasn't proven to have mega marquee value, and he hasn't won a full title yet. If MR believes Ennis is a star in the making, then they shouldn't be playing second fiddle to GBP/Ortiz.Last edited by kiaba360; 10-12-2025, 10:43 AM.👍 1Comment

No actually I think he should be more active by fighting a string of cans to get to 51-0 and then start calling himself TBE.😀 1Comment

Boots vs major world title winners (no secondary or interim) after 34 fights:
W vs Sergey Lipinets KO 6
W vs Eimontas Stanionis RTD 6
Floyd vs major world title winners after 34 fights:
W vs Genaro Hernandez RTD 8
W vs Gregorio Vargas UD 12
W vs Diego Corrales TKO 10
W vs Carlos Hernandez UD 12
W vs Jesus Chavez RTD 9
W vs Jose Luis Castillo UD 12
W vs Jose Luis Castillo UD 12
W vs DeMarcus Corley UD 12
W vs Arturo Gatti RTD 6
Floyd accomplished more through this point in his career than Ennis ever will. By a lot.

Ennis - Baraou is a perfectly fine Plan B. Baraou is TBRB top ten and it would at least consolidate the WBA situation in the division.

Like you, I had no major issue with the Boots - Lima fight by and of itself. Given it ended in one round there's no reason for a long lead time to Boots' next fight. Let's see something in the calendar quickly.Comment

Ortiz will continue to duck via injuries and made up illnesses, as he did at 147, and for 2.5 years at 154Comment

There's no way Bud gets thrown into the mix, unless those guys move up again. Having Bud cut much weight after putting that much on for Canelo would be ******. * Stoopid. Jesus this website ****ing sucks now.Last edited by AKAcronym; 10-12-2025, 11:27 AM.Comment
