'Interim' baubles definitely make fighters (or rather their teams) more risk averse because they suddenly feel they have something to lose: either a shot at the full titleholder or, at least, an email belt. It's no coincidence that Kabayel was taking repeated risks but now that he's got an 'interim' suddenly there's no fight scheduled.
No more cans for Ennis please.

Theres never been a fighter that has made me care less than Ennis. Hes running the early Crawford/Wilder career path and it is incredibly gayWe saw against Stanionis that Boots is capable of mixing it with the top contenders. That fight with Lima last night was pointless, especially considering how inactive fighters are today.
Someone like Ortiz, Fundora, Bakhram, Zayas etc needs to be next. Hopefully the rumoured Ortiz fight gets made because it’s a great acid test for both.Comment

Exactly my point. Just call it what it was, a horrible division with nobody worth speaking about. Youre basically saying hes a top guy in a sh.it division, after having never fought anyone.Comment

Norman was and is considerably better than Stanionis. But I think he turned down the Boots fight.
But Boots has already ducked both Crawford and Ortiz himselfComment

Boots was clearly levels above Stanionis. He’s unquestionably a talented fighter and capable of mixing it with top contenders i.e Ortiz, Fundora, Murtazaliev etc.Comment

I think Boots gets hit way too much to beat Ortiz or Murtazaliev. Those fights with Karen were telling.Comment

I think Haney’s movement might give Norman a lot of trouble. If Norman is the truth I feel like this is a fight he should win. How do you see it going?Comment
