I’m surprised at how many people seem to think Lara has a decent shot here. I’ve never seen Janibek fight, but Landy is old and inactive. Can’t see how he manages to keep his belt versus a much younger, solid fighter.

He's definitely shot. Danny Garcia was way more shot so he took all the headlines for that awful fight, but Lara looked really bad and he should have gotten Danny out of there a lot earlier.

But, once again, 160 is a soft division right now, Adames has an overdue mandatory, and Lara has a belt. Who else is Janibek supposed to fight if he can't get Adames? Eubank is fighting Benn again.

Janibek was flirting with obscurity in a premiere division, it's a good fight to make and get some attention back on these guys.

Lara is one of the ultimate matchup guys for me. Like who do I pick throughout the years who I think can "figure out" so-and-so fighter. Lara's name always comes to mind.
