Depends what you mean by 'joking'. It's certainly not a fight I want to see but when Usyk retires Pulev will likely have his 'regular' strap upgraded to the full title which will mean he is the weakest belt holder and just asking for someone like Itauma to take out.

I can't believe that Pulev has any belt, other than one to hold up his pants.

Whyte isn't washed up yet, Itauma just slaughtered him. Tyson didn't KO any world beaters before Berbick, just a bunch of set ups and tomato cans.

If Whyte was washed up Wilder wouldn't still be ducking him. Whyte actually looked pretty good flow and movement wise but he was overwhelmed by on onslaught of speed and power he had never encountered before.

Oh so roundabout back to Wilder
Now I definitely know it’s combat rock
How’s this ; there both full of chit
Whyte only got wins juiced to the gills and even then was fighting domestic level British fighters or Europeans nobody cares to talk about
If Moses couldn’t beat Whyte then he’s the same level
Sleep on it , maybe Moses fights Torrey when you get up

Kuntdale stating that Moses should fight Pulev says it all : he’s overhyped and looking for loot from the usual British fans

It's utterly ridiculous. The WBA obviously couldn't afford to just payoff Charr when they lost the court case so had to reinstate him. Part of the settlement involved him having to face two mandatory contenders against WBA ranked contenders, which did not include Pulev at the time. He was later moved back in to the rankings simply to facilitate a 'defence' for Charr which he lost.

Pulev has been sitting on the strap for almost a year now, with various initiatives having failed, including the WBA's Pulev - Hunter / Wardley - Miller elimination tournament which was their rationale for inventing a third ('interim') heavyweight belt. Of course they haven't got rid of the interim belt when none of these fights materialised.

I manage to keep track of all this simply by paying attention, despite having a full time job completely unrelated to boxing. Yet boxing's full time 'journalists'/content creators don't challenge any of this and instead focus on the next bit of Jake Paul clickbait (who, incidentally, somehow got ranked by the WBA).
