This is a really good start for the BBC-Boxxer partnership. A British heavyweight title fight free-to-air on national television. Both these guys have shown heart and, in at least one case, been denied the title because of poor judgement on the part of officials. So it's good to see them get another bite of the cherry. I think Clarke might have a bit too much for TKV, but it's not far off 50-50. So I'm excited to see what happens.

It's decent enough. Hopefully the other promoters and Turki see the benefits and work together to really maximise the BBC deal to increase exposure across boxing. And no scheduling conflicts

It's a shame this is going up against Parker vs Wardley. I feel like there's maybe a bit of gamesmanship at play here from the Warrens and Queensberry to impact the viewing figures for Boxxer's first BBC card. Clarke vs TKV is a decent fight and would probably have done much better if it wasn't on the same night as Parker vs Wardley, which will split the viewership. I know the latter is PPV (shamefully) but even so. I really hope the BBC / Boxxer deal is a success though as having the BBC involved with boxing again (and have boxing on free to air terrestrial TV) is a good thing for the sport however you look at it and whatever your promotional allegiances.

Agree but the Wardley -Parker fight was announced weeks ago. BOXXER and the BBC should of just found a different weekend

You're just a depressed male leaving negative non-sequitur comments on a meaningless internet forum.

That such a thing even exists is an absurd modern phenomenon.

True, but Boxxer's BBC date being October 25 was being mentioned when news of the BBC deal first broke in the summer and a long time before Parker vs Wardley was announced. I think the Warrens have been pretty clever here myself by taking that date before Boxxer made it official, but it could just be one of those things. Maybe I'm being cynical. I know ideally that no promoter really wants to go head to head with shows as it ultimately hits everyone's viewing figures. Either way, October 25 is shaping up to be a fun night of heavyweight boxing in the UK. At least these days, with modern set-top boxes, we can now record multiple things at once.
