Is Canelo the worst cash-cow of all time?

In terms of value for money, did Canelo exhibit things in the ring that justified the huge purses he earned?

Mike Tyson - hugely exciting to watch due to his sheer brutality & ability.
Holyfield - always demonstrated warrior spirit making his fights must watch events
Roy Jones Jr - unbelievable to watch and fought in an unprecedented way at the time
Lennox Lewis - tremendous power & athleticism and was able to neutralise most styles
Pacquiao - Phenomenal hand speed & ability to find angles. His fights were very entertaining
Mayweather - Boxing purists marvelled at the things he was able to do. Possibly the best defence of all time
Oscar De la Hoya - All action style, his fights were intense and fun to watch

Comparing Canelo to a few of the above mentioned cash-cows, you'd have to say what exactly did he deliver that warranted the huge sums?

At 154/155lbs he was able to look flashy against a few overmatched opponents like Josesito Lopez and Angulo but whenever he fought anyone decent in the higher weights he turned into a boring, low output counter puncher, with terrible stamina, who often got frustrated in fights. Yes he won fights but he wasn't exhibiting feats that were truly entertaining or mesmerizing to separate him from the rest. It's wild to think he picked up 100M for the way he fought against Scull, a fight which was realistically quite close.

Id say yes. He was boring behind the scenes and during the build up and his fights have lo rewatch value. The fact he got paid all that money that he did to fight no hopers is freaking insane. I've been saying it for a while no way that Hearn, haymon, or turki got the money back that spent on him.

Every country wants a hero to rally behind.
Or should I say, put their money behind.

In the case of Mexico, Canelo was the man.
Mayweather and Bivol schooled him, but he was still the man.

As we witnessed in the Crawford fight, or prob even a few fights before, he was well out of his prime.
The last 4-5 years have been kind of scam. Big money fights, little excitement.
I don't think it's a matter of Canelo being motivated or not. He just doesn't have it anymore.

there are 2 kinds of frauds. frauds like wilder who arent good but are marketed as top guys and frauds like canelo who are good but dont want to take tough fights because they are scared of losing their position at the top. dont know which is worse

A lot of Trout's good work was overlooked by the judges and Canelo was blowing out of his a$$ from nine

Mike was a glorified bully. Got his shlt pushed in on the rare occasions he fought someone credible. Weak AF RESUME (the dreaded R word !!!)
Holy was the "Real" Deal alright. Fought everyone and won most of them. I quotation "Real" because only a blind fool things he was natural
RJJ was legit but was he a cash cow
Lenny was a beast. Avenged those fluky L's like a boss.
Pac was a compiler. Most notable names were truly at their worse or *'d or both
May and DLH go without saying.

Nelo has a very good resume, the best active resume there is.
KO's are hard to come by when the "best" fight each other and one of them decides to jab and move.
