So far it was a good competitive fight. I still don't understand why in the world Vayson's corner stopped the fight.Collazo was coming on, but Vayson was still fighting and seemed fine.
Yeah, I had it 57-56 for Vayson after 6 rounds but the judges had Collazo way up. It was actually a very competitive fight and I was really enjoying it to be honest. But yeah, Vaysons corner is incompetent and they need to be fired asap. I hope De La Hoya gives him a rematch with different judges though, because he didn't deserve to be screwed over like that.
I was going for Collazo but Vayson was very in the fight. It was turning up to be a very good fight and the corner did not give Vayson a break at least to finish the round. Knucklehead move.
They were literally dominating one another across every other round. Vayson was fine. In fact he was starting to time Collazo well. He should have a long talk with his corner.
Hate to hear it. Not only does Vayson have to live with the loss he felt he had a shot to win, but Collazo has to hear he had not actually earned the victory he was awarded. Just hate it.
Vayson was breaking down but I believe he should have been given an opportunity to at least finish the round so they can talk to him in the corner and see how he responds. He was in the fight and hurt Collazo, it was a really good fight, I don't think I've ever seen a corner throw the towel so prematurely in a fight like that.

I think this is the most accurate response. Vayson was a live dog and had some earlier success. I didn't agree with the knockdown call either. But in that last round, he was missing, and paying a lot each time. It's clear he was breaking.
Yes it was a quick stoppage, and he deserved the chance to finish the round, cuz this is boxing. But it was the beginning of the end, and I was already waiting for him to drop.
