a draw would have been fair tooOnly watched the fight once, live, but I didn't think it was a robbery either.
As I remember it, Horn's physicality made the fight ugly but it also seemed to throw Manny off his rhythm. I don't think he was expecting such a gruelling fight. I saw a clip recently of round eight or nine, when Manny hurt Horn, and Manny looked ragged and dog-tired, uncharacteristically so. By the end it had swung closer but I remember being unsurprised at it going Horn's way.
Worth noting that I wasn't watching ESPN broadcast with Teddy Atlas. It wasn't until a day later that I realised there was even supposed to be any controversy.
Horn confirmed that manny was well past prime
the come forward pressure style with limited defense is one manny used to eat for lunch

You are leaving out the important context that Crawford was pursuing the undisputed title at 140 and wanted to do that before he moved up to 147.
He won the vacant WBO title in April 2015
He won the WBC and vacant lineal/TBRB/Ring championship in July 2016
He won the WBA and IBF titles to become undisputed in August 2017
Then he immediately moved to welterweight.
He obviously wasn't going to move to 147 for one fight, move back down to 140 to become undisputed, and then move back up to 147. Just like it would have been dumb to move up to 154 to challenge for a belt before he got the Spence fight at 147.
You can't just cherrypick the facts that suit your pet narrative of the moment. If Pac hadn't lost to Horn, he would've been knocked out by Crawford.
And there was nothing saying Pac couldn't challenge Crawford after Crawford beat Horn. Instead he went after a WBA secondary belt, defended it against Broner, and then fought the ghost of Keith Thurman for his WBA strap. And then he picked Spence to try to unify with instead of Crawford (though it ended up being Ugas).Comment
