Those are really good numbers for a non-Heavyweight Black American fighter. For the exception of Sugar Ray Robinson, Floyd Money Mayweather, Jr and the 1980s.

Historically, these type of fighters are the most difficult to market and promote to the mainstream, crossover casual fan.

If you look at my history on Bud Crawford you will see I'm not his biggest fan. That is because whatever he went through in that little black neighborhood in Nebraska which has more cows than people has totally destroyed him mentally. But it has turned him into one of the most deadliest fighters ever.

Don't let the Jake vs Tyson numbers fool you. That was an anomoly. Mike Tyson has been "that name" since the 80's and has proven that he will always be some sort of draw (in and out of the ring). It was a new thing for Netflix. Jake Paul is an influencer in the current era of social influence. There was the intrigue of the public thinking they were somehow seeing "Iron Mike" knock out that annoying Jake Paul (not knowing they were being duped into seeing a fighter 30 years past the far END of his prime in an 8 round exhibition that they allowed to go on records.

This fight was a legit boxing match with a figihter daring for greatness. 40mil is great!
