People here are imbeciles when it comes to that. They expect him to be all hug and kisses when he is not a people's person, just because Tito and Juanma are doesn't mean Cotto has to be this fake fan-friendly person everyone expects him to be.

He calls it like it is and people would have him die in the ring than took that knee in the Margarito fight, which shows you the type of mentality some have.

This is 100% accurate. Cotto gets lots of hate in Puerto Rico because of that.

Here in Puerto Rico we feel like Cotto does not fight like a puertorican fighter.When Gomez lost to Sanchez,Trinidad lost to Hopkins,Rosario lost to Chavez P.R. still showed love for the way they went out like warriors.Cotto lost alot of fans cus he quit against Margarito.I know I be out here and they still talk about that fight...

I was Aiming my friend Mason the other night, he is from PR and he said he was talking to his uncle (who still lives there) and his uncle said that Cotto is: "a fish and will only see punches hitting him in the face all night long"
