First off... I got this one wrong. Very wrong. Picked Canelo to win on points. Just wanted to own it.

Secondly, I was a huge Crawford supporter when he jumped from unifying 140 in a weak division, where Crawford just dusted everyone like a great boxer should. Then.. he really did not challenge himself at 147. It was a pretty deep division, and outside of Shawn Porter he really fought a light load. The Spence fight was a nice one but it was obvious Spence was a shell of himself.

This is the fight that showed why none of the criticisms mattered. Crawford is just great. He will move to the sound of his own drummer, and just take anyone out of their game. He is similar to Usyk in that way. Both of those men just work harder, prepare better, are more athletic, and able to adjust better than their opponents. Do I wish that the promotions allowed for more fights of note for Crawford at 147? Sure. But it would not have mattered. Crawford would just have won easily. Because that is what the greats do.

For those of us who have been arguing with the same people over and over for years who say Bud is overrated and not that great......it feels good to see those same people finally admitting how great Crawford is.

I have never understood for one second why anyone hates on Crawford. Obviously a great talent, mean in the ring and goes in to hurt his opponents, always fun to watch, all class outside the ring and always humble. A good man who loves his kids and his wife.

He deserves all the praise he gets.

Crawford is truly generational and his ability to adapt is pure genious. I hope he retires before father time finally wins the coin toss. He's done it all and more.

Well all we can say is wow! I have supported Bud since he stopped my countryman and Pac-Man conquerer Jeff Horn and been a huge fan since. I backed him to win the UD last night but most importantly he has finally silenced all the doubters all the haters all the naysayers. Bud is one of the greatest of all time and I am so privileged to have witnessed his career.

Max Kellerman kept warning us that this fight was going to be the most watched fight since an Ali fight. I don't know about that. What I did know was that this fight was going to generate new fans unlike the way Floyd Mayweather was able to do when he became Money Mayweather. Crawford and Canelo are always prepared to come forward, let their hands go, and fight. I expected nothing different than when they faced each other on 9.13. I'm sure that these men made a few new fans of boxing. Outside of a couple of the earlier boring bouts, Netflix scored a winner with Crawford VS Canelo.

Even if the result will most likely be the same, Netflix would be wise to fight for the rights to broadcast Crawford VS Canelo II. A rematch would break all types of records - it will definitely finally make Bud Crawford the household name that he deserves to be.

And please stop with this narrative. Please stop the "Canelo has lost a step" argument!

Andre Ward called it a couple of years ago. Canelo has carefully been selecting his opponents for years. He would exploit those that either had power, but not much ring IQ or those who had a little ring IQ, but no power. He avoided every boxer who had power and a solid ring IQ. Canelo fought lazy and without the ability to make adjustments. He struggled against Bivol because of this. And Crawford was the perfect opponent to expose these truths.

                      Bud vs Lara
                      Adames vs Janibek

                      on the same card.

Then winner vs winner for Crawford's last fight.
