        Sadly that's what happened

Not gonna go into too much detail but he was due to attend an event last night and didn't. Friends were worried about his well being and contacted the police, which resulted in them finding him this morning.

        Very sad.

Terrible news. Ricky was one of the British boxers I most admired, up there with Andries, Honeyghan, Lewis and Froch, not so much for ability, although he certainly had that, but because he always wanted to test himself against the best. FW wanted him to stay undefeated and make 25 defences of his WBO title in Manchester where he drew huge crowds, but Ricky insisted he wanted to fight the best and he did. No-one can argue that Tszyu, Castillo, Mayweather and Pacquaio were not the best and Collazo and Malignaggi were also exceptional achievements. You will be sadly missed Ricky.

RIP Ricky, one of the best body punches, and best of British.

Very sad news indeed. 46 is no age to pass. I sat and chatted with him in Puerto Banús before his Mayweather fight, had a great night. He was drunk as hell lol.
