Being a Brit who supported and followed him all around the world during the good and bad, it’s not often I cry when hearing of the passing of ‘someone I have never met’ in the news, but this really hit hard.

A massive influence on my circles life during the mid to late noughties. Just filling 30k in their hometown is a tall ask for 99% of fighters but bringing that amount to the other side of the world is unheard of.

Never known a fighter so loved. He was one of us.

I hope he’s now found peace.

This one really hurt to hear today. I always felt as an Englishman Ricky Hatton was 'One of us' and so did his Army of fans. A true legend in Britain.

    Terrible news.

I used to tape his fights on SHO and then watch them when I got back home from a night out. That's how I watched Tyszu/Hatton - 2:30am in LA, drunk af watching on VHS like it was a live event.

And then Mayweather/Hatton might have been the most memorable fight weekend I've had - the people who I brought with me were blown away at the how the weigh-in was. EPIC

I say this everytime - you could go anywhere on teh strip that weekend and hear the echos of "Hatton Wonderland" the minute you stepped into any casino. His people were everywhere, it was so much fun. Sometimes, I think I can still hear them chanting.

So happy that we experienced that - thank you Ricky and the fans who supported him. That was truly once in a lifetime
