The Mighty Oilskin Joe Parker may be the best heavyweight of his era

Let's be honest he is really undefeated

Vs AJ, corrupt ref wouldn't let Parker fight inside, in a fair contest Parker KO's AJ easily

Vs Whyte, illegal headbutt knockdown, turn that round from a wrongful 10-8 to the 10-9 Parker it should be and Parker wins UD

    Vs Joyce, Parker had COVID

So parkers record of wins is

    AJ
    Whyte
    Chisora
    Ruiz jr
    Wilder
    Zhang
    Bakole
    Fury
    Takam

    Usyk has

    Fury
    AJ
    Dubois

Usyk vs Parker decides the #1 of this era, and Usyk is the one with work to do

2025 Parker ends the myth of AJ, puts Whyte in hospital and would have splattered Dubois if he hadn't shat the bed.

Not to mention Fury made him his best bud so he wouldn't have to fight him.

It's no wonder Usyk is ducking him cos if they fought Parker would prove he is the best of this era!!!

He might be the best HW right now but thats largely because hes also younger than his contemporaries of the last decade or so who achieved more than him but are now closer to the end of their careers.

They achieved more because they were British and protected by rematch clauses and holding their straps to ransom by ducking and aging out contenders.

Parker has been sidelined and shut out for close to a decade while his contemporaries have been exposed as frauds.

Say what you like about Parker but you can't say he's a fraud, a duck, a fragile bodybuilder, a flawed pïkey or a speshal quitter.

What you can say is he got battered by Joe Joyce, lost to Dillian Shyte, lost to AJ, got contentious decisions over Del Boy, Hughie and Ruiz and barely had any wins of note until the last 2 years even though hes been around forever.

If he was British i'm sure you'd also be bringing up that Zhang was in his 40s and got beaten more easily by Kabayel, that Wilder was completely washed and that Bakole came in on 2 days notice.

              25.Otto Wallin, Sweden 27-3-0 (15)

              Would that be so shameful???

Number FIVE among some 3,000 big tough heavyweight professionals in that era, who had enough self-belief to step right over the 850 some-odd Heavyweight fighters in MMA and Kickboxing who elected not to tailor their training for the rules than can make you a globally admired multimillionaire?

Sure, no. FIVE might be too low, but it’s still pretty darned good!!

Anyway, a brand new era is obviously upon us now, and of the list shown above, Parker is one of the few who still remains IN THE HUNT.

You just seem to be applying different standards to your countryman. All of what i said is true, hes a likeable guy with talent and he might even be the head to head best right now in terms of form, and yes he (or Kabayel) deserve the Usyk fight. But his overall career has been fairly underwhelming and has plenty of caveats to it. All this British this British that stuff complaining about hype jobs etc is pointless too when hes lost to multiple of them and to a significant degree his own profile has been built up through the UK in the same way theirs was. He isnt some would be ATG HW who has been kept down by the man, hes just **** the bed multiple times.

Seems fair enough, although I think as far as this winding down era goes there was the "big 4" and then everyone else as far as relevance, achievement and how people are going to remember things looking back.

Although as you say, Parker seems to have a lot more left in him than no1-4 do, so he can still make some noise.

not all countries do boxing, brazil loves its mma and jiu jitsu and other forms of martial arts, u would have to change a culture and switch over to boxing, im sure martial arts give something to brazilians and other communities who do mma based stuff
