Comments Thread For: Sebastian Fundora: ?Time for a change ? I can be the face of boxing?

The end to their press conference could not have more properly reflected where Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman are at in their respective careers.?

PBC will need to start marketing fundora more, but off of PPV. Danny Garcia, Thurman, Porter had a few major fights on free network tv back when PBC was on top. They gotta get him in front of more people.

Fundora will never be the face of boxing lol. Still hasn't fought a top guy, I dont wanna hear Timmy was either. IF and that's a big if, Fundora managed to clear out 154 and become unified or better yet, undisputed. It would be a hood 1st step towards his fantasy of becoming the face of boxing.

Fundora has improved a lot. He now fights tall and long and will be a nightmare for everyone at 154, but he will never be the face of boxing.

Very fun fighter and the more he improves, the more of a nightmare Fundora will become.

But yeah I don't see him becoming this goblal star. It will either be a Heavyweight like Itauma. Or one of the prospects that have a pretty big following.

With the mesh of styles and size difference, could be a bit like Haye Klitschko. Thurman huge speed advantage but just circling and struggling to get inside that huge reach.

I know it’s probably a terrible comparisons but always felt Thurman had the style of a mini Haye. Viper-like feint to counters, loads of excessive bouncy movement when getting in and out of range. Loads up heavily on lunging shots. Highlight reel KOs.

I think he meant the "Freak of boxing".

His genetics are a good argument for height limits in the divisions.

Never! He lacks real skill to ever become the face of boxing. This cat gets hit way too much. Also, he is an arm volume puncher.

The only reason why he has such a high punch volume is because they lack speed. There is no amount of snap, pop or steam on his punches.

In a nutshell; He is just not as fundamentally sound, scientific or technical of a fighter to be the new face of boxing.

which is why I still believe that a healthy “One Time” stops him. Keith Thurman can see the same flaws in his game as me.

He is very basic; Coming forward behind the jab while leaving his chin completely exposed. Tim Tszyu couldn’t capitalize because he can’t hit but Thurman can.

OK, Fundora vs. Thurman, Foster vs. Fulton, and Jesus Ramos vs. Shane Mosely Jr.! Not bad!
