I am well aware of the controversy of this fight, but for whatever reason, I never watched it. I think it's because I missed it live and replays/reruns were a different beast back then and my boxing social circle was limited to my dad. And so, I just kinda forgot about it until now. I went to YouTube to finally check it out.

Without a doubt the worst robbery I may have ever seen. Jones beat the tar out of that man - even gave him a standing eight. WTF happened there?!!!??! Thirty five years is ridiculous. Park should have handed that over immediately.

Park had ONE good moment. ONE. And it was immediately answered.

Jones was completely gutted and discouraged during his interview, talking about quitting. Glad he stuck it out. And glad Park FINALLY made it right, though he's not really to blame.

That’s good. However it still doesn’t detract from the fact that Roy Jones, Jr was cheated and done dirty at those 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul Korea.

Even Park knew he didn’t deserve to win that Gold medal and his conscience nearly destroyed him because of it. He knew that Roy Jones defeated him.

Which is why he had to exorcise those demons by returning that Gold medal back to its rightful owner.
