Devon Alexander vs Zab Judah in St Louis. I remember them promoting the fight by having Judah step into the ring post-fight after Devon beat Urango. I believe this was another play at Judah fighting another Cunningham fighter from St. Louis after his two bouts against Cory Spinks.

I believe most were asking for Matthysse vs Maidana at 140....it never happened but Marcos ended up having the better career of the two. Another one was Bradley vs Khan...Tim went the 'Top Rank' route and never looked back.

It's so crazy that a lot of fights we wanted at 140 and 147 happened waaaay later and were pointless and boring when they happened...Berto vs Guerrero 2, Berto vs Alexander, Ortiz vs Guerero, Alexander vs Ortiz....man.

Yep! Hopkins was getting older and I believe he had his last few bouts planned out...I'm not sure Adonis was the plans but he ended up fighting Kovalev which was a more dangerous fight, so I could be wrong here. Hopkins already had roots in Montreal due to the two Pascal fights, so I'm sure he would've sold some tickets up there for a Stevenson fight.

Who knows, though...how much was GBP on their heads to work with Al at that time? He did take most of his fighters and ruined their relationship with HBO, so Oscar and Richard may not have been all that elated to work with him.

Good shout, I wanted to see. I still have some official flyers they were handing out to promote that one.

Margarito-Oscar - I think this might have been possible had Oscar beaten Pac.

Canelo- Paul Williams - this fight did get made, but unfortunately, we know Paul had the accident and never fought again. Canelo later invited Paul to sit ringside as the honorary guest for the replacement fight which was a nice gesture.

One that I wanted to see was Stevenson and Pascal. Both of Haitian heritage living in Quebec. Pascal wanted to be a police officer and Stevenson was previously a pimp.

Pascal could take a tremendous amount of punishment and Stevenson could dish out some punishment. Stevenson often faded in fights so it would have been interesting to see how it would unfold. I have to imagine the arena in Montreal would be electric.

they could have had a title unifier at 126 in 2003, would not have been opposed to a fight at 140 in 2011-2012 either

not sure if this had been said

but AJ and Wilder back in the day

would have been funny interesting to see if AJ could have avoided (doubt it) or got up from (maybe or maybe not) wilders shot lol

AJ may also have got to wilder first too of course

                      shame
