Comments Thread For: Erickson Lubin on Vergil Ortiz Jnr: ?This is where I get my glory?

Erickson Lubin may have walked away from a title fight, but his calculations and self-confidence ultimately steered him in the direction of Vergil Ortiz Jnr.

So it's better to fight someone who has never held a real title than a dangerous and legitimate champ who knocked Tim Tszyu out cold? They must be paying Lubin at least double the money to fight for a bullsht interim belt instead of a real one.

I like Lubin but he's got a lot better chance of getting a beatdown than getting glory from this fight. Ortiz is a beast.

The only glory that he is going to get is when he visits the truck stop bathroom Glory Hole that BlackRobb works out of.

If he is getting paid a lot more, never mind twice as much, then it is a no brainer. Professional boxers have to get paid. If Lubin beats Ortiz then world title shots will certainly come soon after. If he loses then he’ll be damn glad he took the money. If it’s a draw then the rematch will be even more money. If Lubin’s management had turned down Ortiz for the title shot I would have had them shot!

I read that DLH offered Lubin double what would have made against Fundora. He'd be a fool not to take the money.

Impressive victory against Bohachuk? Hmm... More like a very tough fight many thought Ortiz lost.

Vergil is the top 154 pounder with Zero Titles. We all know belts don't mean much with so many given away.

              Vergil - Madrimov and Bohachuk

Fudora - Tim with an elbow cut, then coming of a beating from Murtazaliev.

Murtazaliev - Tim coming off a Fundora lost

Zayas - Hot Dog Vendor for a title. See below.

They payed his bltchass 0.000 more. That thug ducked a undeserved career high and shot at the belts against timmy when he was undefeated.

“We felt this was the better option,” Lubin said. “Murtazaliev, we were going to get, but it seemed like no one was going to pick it up and pay for that fight. I was all in on that fight. I didn’t want to pass up on fighting for a world title.”

There's the problem! The fact that it had to go to purse bid is "No Bueno!" I don't blame Lubin for making the move! The only way Murtazliev can get fights is if someone like Vergil or Fundora fights him, and it seems that's not in their plans? Is Josh Kelly going to fight Murtazliev or Zayas?

That's a fact, which is why Lubin made the right move! Not good for boxing, but good for Vergil and Lubin!
