Too many hands in the cookie jar. Promoters NOT making the best fights can be blamed for the vast majority of the problems we have.

I think it's too easy to blame the promoters. How many (primarily US) fighters have priced themselves out of fights with the "muh A side", "muh split" guff which became all the rage?

This is why boxing became so infuriating to follow, the obvious best fights in the division are talked about for years before they happen, if they happen at all.
