That's why he has lost a lot of respect from the boxing community and fans.

When fighters want to become great, it shows by the fighters they fight. Boxing still has those fighters. Usyk, Crawford, Inoue, Jesse Rodriguez, are chasing greateness or have become great. Other fighters don't have that drive. It is what it isn't as I like to say. A good example of an excellent but maybe not great fighter who I really like is Stephen Fulton. This guy fights anyone and everyone. He's fought the whose who. Almost no fighter does that. I salute that man. He's earned his place in my heart.

But there is a huge difference. Tank already cherry picked the smaller Lamont which was an embarrasement, and then he draws with his cherry pick, another embarrasement. And now his is going for yet another embarrasement. He is not willing to fight the fights fans want and has lost a lot of fans since cherry picking his way and not taking challenges. That's why Usyk and Crawford and others like Fulton would never do what Davis has been doing. Rodriguez has been on a serious tear, and Davis has never had a serious tear. Same with Usyk and Crawford, they faced serious challenges, Not Davis. If he fought 2-3 top fighters, he would belong in the top 10 PFP, but his bad decisions will never allow that while he is still in his prime. Something is messed up with his mind, his ego.
