I'm with you on that , he could have been great , instead he's this , whatever this is.

He was never going to be great. He has like 3 quality wins in his entire career and both Isaac Cruz and Lamont Roach got screwed over against him in cherry picks gone wrong.

To be great you have to beat great fighters. And he was never even going to step into the ring with guys like Lomachenko, Mikey, Stevenson, or Lopez. Let alone actually beat them.

The Floyd blueprint was to become lineal king of four weight classes fighting top tier competition, THEN become a sideshow doing nonsense fights in his old age. Davis skipped the first part, having never even contended for a lineal championship in any weight division.

He couldn't even beat Roach legitimately and you think he was going to beat Mikey Garcia or Vasiliy Lomachenko?

And Cruz won 6 rounds in that fight. Davis won because he was the A-side and for no other reason. And Cruz isn't even good.
