Now Ford has separated himself from Nova skill wise.

Being the A-side and Turki's favorite won him the day. Ford could've dropped him twice and the judges would've found a way to give it to Nick "the Headbutt" Ball.

Ford should had been the rightful winner, he had won the first rounds convincingly and the last championship rounds. He also had rocked Ball badly at the end of the fight. Any in between rounds could had went to either, but Ball's initiave was rewarded by the judges.

Whenever I read or hear say someone say Ford separated himself, it is always at the worst time.

              98-92 Ford. Easy work.

6-4 or 7-3 Ford, hard earned and well won. Both made adjustments, yet Ford's IQ in timing and pressure was the signicant factor over the taller fighter. Ford also had rocked him quite as much.

That's a clear, maybe wide, win for Ford.

Nova was active but Ford was the sharper puncher.

Believe Raymond Ford can perform better against a high caliber opponent, Nova just had the right traits to make it competitive.

Still makes me wonder if this experience is more of a blessing than Ford's team knows, Cacace fights more like Nova than Mattice who fights up squared up using his reach to fight, Thomas does that despite not knowing how to cut the ring or shift angles to compensate fighting tall and without a lead foot to move backwards, Ford has now the proper experience to make a gameplan against Cacace.

Cacace capitalizes in his reach and power, he also boxes like Nova when he has to.
